The Story of Us 

When Anna downloaded Tinder on a sunny July day, the last thing on her mind was meeting the love of her life. After all, it was the middle of a pandemic, and she had been quarantined for months, unable to see anyone outside of her family. Little did she know her future husband was just about twenty minutes down the road and had recently downloaded the app as a joke with a friend. Though hopeful he may meet someone, Cam didn't believe he would meet the one. On the morning of July 19th, 2020, Anna encountered Cam's profile, describing him as the guy at the party petting the dog, and saw his notably curly blonde hair and swiped right without a second thought. Later that afternoon, Cam stumbled upon Anna's profile; which described her as fun-sized and a lover of crappy book-to-movie adaptations. He thought she looked cute and found her bio charming, so he swiped right with the hopes of a match. It was a match! A "slick" pickup line later, the couple began to chat. After a few days of messaging, the couple decided it was time to set up a virtual date—it was at the height of COVID-19 after all. Their first Facetime call lasted for over six hours, into the wee hours of the morning. Long Facetime calls would become a staple at the beginning of their relationship, with the average call lasting over five hours. While Anna would like to say they both did equal amounts of talking... Cam likes to say otherwise. Soon, Anna broke COVID-19 quarantine for the first time since coming home in March to go out on a date with Cam. Despite worries from her mother, Anna decided to meet the man she had met online and had never seen in person in a park she had never been to. Their first date happened in a very empty Armco Park on July 31st and was socially distanced. Cam brought hammocks and set them up so they could do their favorite thing: talk. Many socially distanced, virtual, and (eventually) real dates later Cam and Anna took the leap and made their relationship official on August 31st after Anna asked the all-important question what are we? Though the initial answer was boyfriend and girlfriend both suspected that they would eventually become more. Over the years, Anna and Cam experienced a lot together but continued to stand by each other's side. From being in a long-distance relationship while Anna finished up her degrees at Ball State (which involved countless car trips traveling to and from Muncie as often as they could) to shared illnesses (i.e. mono &amp; salmonella) to even the joys of traveling the world together. Anna and Cam have experienced so much joy, laughter, and love together and they cannot wait to share a lifetime with one another. When asked to describe their love Anna points to a quote by John Green I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.

The Bridesmaids 

Bri and Anna became friends in grade school and reconnected while attending the same high school; they have been close ever since. Sheridan and Anna became friends in kindergarten and have been close ever since. They were girls together and have supported each other in every stage of life. Cass and Anna met and became friends through their sorority Sigma Kappa and were roommates for two years of college. Sarah and Anna met in an early-start college program and became fast friends. They loved living together during their junior and senior year of college. Emma and Anna met through their sorority Sigma Kappa and slowly became friends through hilarious conversations and spending time together at Brothers in Muncie. They can often be seen making weekly calls to one another and in college were known for grabbing cheap burgers and drinks together. Claire and Anna met during their freshman year of high school. They became friends during many shared lunchtimes and by the end of their freshman year they were inseparable. They can often be seen making long Facetime calls and have been known to fall on the floor in a fit of laughter. Jess and Anna met during sorority rush their Sophomore year of college. Despite not ending up in the same sorority, their friendship stayed strong all through college and beyond. They loved living together during their senior year at Ball State. They can often be seen sharing their love of Disney and supporting each other across states. Leanza and Anna met when they joined their college sorority Sigma Kappa! They joined at the same time and became fast friends. They were even in the same Greek family. They have been known to talk for hours at a time and bring the brightest smiles out of each other. They can often be seen supporting each other through all that life has thrown at them. Matilda is Anna and Cam's adorable miniature dachshund. She is known for being an excellent cuddler and sock stealer. While she won't be there in person on the day of the wedding, she is so excited that her parents are getting married. She hopes that you all will enjoy the big day!

Brooklyn is a bright and joyful third grader who brings so much personality wherever she goes. In the sweetest full-circle tradition, Anna’s mom was Brooklyn’s grandmother’s flower girl, and years later Brooklyn’s mom stood as Anna’s mom’s flower girl. Now Brooklyn gets to continue the tradition — and we couldn’t love it more.
